“With love” birdhouse

The “With Love” birdhouse refers to vernacular architecture commonly found in rural landscapes — small, anonymous structures that serve as simple storage for materials, machines, or food.
These modest constructions follow a pure logic of necessity. Their sizes and proportions are guided by function, economy, and intuition…
Inspired by this rudimentary spirit, the birdhouse is reduced to the minimum. Its silhouette echoes the archetype of the cabin, familiar and almost universal.
By pressing our own sheets and painting them roughly by hand, we preserved the imperfect and irregular character found in these everyday metal sheds.
Slight variations due to the process, along with the texture of the surface, give the piece more charm and authenticity.
As a nice surprise, the perfectly round cut-out on the corner takes on different shapes depending on the perspective. What appears as a simple circle from the front transforms as you move around it.
From above, it reads as a heart — a discreet and poetic gesture, a subtle way of making the birds feel welcome.
